AN APOLOGY TO THE PEOPLE OF MEXICO
No Borders, No Fences, No Walls, No troops

To the people of Mexico:

There is great sadness in my heart for what the United States Government is doing to the relations between our two countries. Please know that it is the government, and the people who benefit from the government's favors, and the people who blindly follow the government, because of their greed or ignorance, that make this possible. It is not the true will of the people of the United States.

Those same people treated the hippies of the seventies, who were of the United States, the same way. If you are different than those special people, you don't belong. It is ignorance at its worst.

THERE SHOULD BE NO BORDERS BETWEEN OUR COUNTRIES. You are our neighbors.

I APOLOGIZE TO THE PEOPLE OF MEXICO.

I've traveled all through Mexico. Stayed in Mexico City for three months at a time. I did not travel as a tourist, nor as a wealthy businessman looking for business. I drove in an old car and met wonderful people everywhere I drove.

I first learned about being with the people when I was in Panama for a year and a half. The Panamanians and Chinese community took me in. They were wonderful people. Unless you live with the people, you do not have the right to judge them or lump them all into one category.

This country has many different people; some are good, some are bad. Both are citizens of the United States, but because it is our country we don't label the country bad, just those certain people. Why not do the same with other countries. What makes them different?

What makes them different is the ignorance of the people who label them. When will we learn that we are all related. That there is good and bad in all countries, and because of a few, the whole country isn't bad. We could live in peace and harmony if only we could realize the value of every individual in the world.

We are not all like that. Please don't include us, who are different from the above mentioned people. Hopefully, some how, some way, they will come to realize the terrible thing they are doing.

Love,
Sam Younghans

P.S. If the native Americans, who owned this country first, had put up walls and had troops at the seashores, we wouldn't be here (I know, they didn't have any deeds to prove it.) I feel very humble and ashamed.
