For those of you who would like to help a good cause and receive a tax deduction. I am producing the play Cancel Christmas for the "Boys and Girls Club of the Harbor Area" in Irvine, California. I am donating my time and services to produce this production. All proceeds go to the Boys and Girls Club. The club needs a sound system, lights and other necessary stage items for the production. Make checks payable to the "Boys and Girls Club of the Harbor Area, (Drama Project) Be sure to designate "Drama Project." Small donations from many. I will list all of the donors on our play program and on this site for any $25.00 donation and up. The amounts donated will not be listed, nor any names of those who wish to remain anonymous. If you are a business, and donate up to $500.00, include your business card, and it will be posted in the program and on my site. Over $500.00 include an ad layout 4x4" to print in our program. I will, also, post it on my site and add a link to your site. My site receives anywhere from 8,000 to 12,000 hits a day.

The play Cancel Christmas was first produced for the Boys and Girls Club of Sonoma at the Sebastiani Theatre in Sonoma, California. The Sebastiani Theatre donated the use of the theatre for drama classes and three years of productions in their theatre. I donated my time and service. I became a board member of the Boys and Girls Club and served for three years. I moved to Southern California and have produced the play numerous times; other theatre groups have produced it, both in Northern and Southern California.

This year I am, once again, producing it for the Boys and Girls Club - this time "Of the Harbor Area" in Irvine. Since the first production in 1976 it has developed into a wonderful musical and a joy to all who have attended a performance. It is a good feeling to, once again, be doing it for the Boys and Girls Club.

Santa is lured to Bogwig's Great-Ice-Caves beyond the North Pole. A note from Bogwig, pinned to Santa's door, said, "Cancel Christmas, or else . . ."
Read what happens to Santa. Read about the exciting rescue by his faithful elves. Read about Flasher, the amazing reindeer that looks like a shooting star when leading the reindeer on Santa's journeys. And by all means, read this story to your children.
Cancel Christmas was originally written as a play. First produced in Sonoma, California, at the Sebastiani Theatre, where it ran for three years - also done in Petaluma and San Rafael, CA. In 1996, it was produced in Ukiah, CA and at the Patio Playhouse in Escondido, CA, with great success. In 1999 it was produced at the San Diego Children's Museum. After many revisions and the addition of music, the play has evolved into a full musical, with dancing and singing.
A book has been adapted from the play. The first edition was printed in 1996. An illustrated edition is in the planning stages. In 1999 a screenplay was written and is being represented by The Wright Agency, a Writer's Guild Agency.
